CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES – AnneMarie

Big Recipe                                                                   Half Recipe

3 1/2 cubes real butter                                                            2 cubes butter (minus 2 Tablespoons)
1 1/2 c. sugar                                                              ¾ cup sugar
2 1/4 c. brown sugar packed                                      1 heaping cup packed brown sugar
4 eggs                                                                          2 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla                                                            1 TBSP vanilla
6 c. flour                                                                      3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda                                                       1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. baking powder                                               ½ TBSP baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt                                                               ¾ tsp. salt
1 bag small chocolate chips (1 lb.)                              Chocolate chips

Make sure the butter is softened.  Just leave it out for awhile.  Don’t heat it in the microwave because you don’t want any part of it melted at all.  Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Mix in the rest of the dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Put the dough in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 min.  When you’re ready to bake them, roll the cookie dough into balls. Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes, until lightly golden on top with big cracks in them. Do not over bake!  (we add white choc chips, butterscotch chips and sometimes caramels)

You gotta follow this recipe EXACTLY or else they won’t turn out as good as mine do J
