HOMEMADE OREOS – AnneMarie

1 package devils food cake mix (I always use Duncan Hines)

2 eggs

1/3 cup oil

 

Mix well.  Dough will be very thick.  Roll dough into balls (ping pong size) and do not flatten.

Set on ungreased cookie sheet. 

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Cookies will be puffy with big cracks in them.

Let them cool 2-5 minutes, then remove. 

Let them cool completely before frosting.

 

ICING:

 

4 oz. cream cheese (softened/room temp)

2 TBSP butter (softened/room temp)

1 ¾ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

 

Mix until smooth.  Put icing between two cookies. 

 

They are better if covered and left overnight in a container.
