WILD RICE SOUP

6 T butter     

1 T Minced Onions

1/2 Flour

3 C Chicken Broth

2 C cooked Wild Rice

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 C Half and Half

1/3 C Minced Ham

1/3 C Shredded Carrots

1 small Pkg.of  Slivered Almonds   

 

 

     Melt butter in saucepan.  Saute  onion until tender.  Blend in flour, gradually stir in broth.  Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil.  Put in crock pot with cooked rice, almonds, ham and carrots.  Add Half and Half.  Heat on low until hot.
