GENE’S BREAKFAST CASSEROLE – Chris Ball
10 eggs Beat
1 ½ c. milk together
Add: ¾ t. mustard
1 lb. ground sausage
4 slices of bread
1 c. shredded sharp cheese
1 can cr. of mushroom soup
¼ c. milk
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms, drained
Brown 1 lb. ground sausage and drain. Cut crusts off of 4 slices of bread and cube bread. Spray 9×13” pan with non-stick spray. Place cubed bread in bottom, then layer the sausage and shredded cheese. Pour milk mixture over top, cover and refrigerate overnight.
For breakfast, uncover pan and spread top with cream of mushroom soup mixed with ¼ c. milk. Spread on sliced mushrooms. Bake at 300 degrees for 45-60 min. until set and eggs are done.
