Yakitori – Chelsea
‧ 1/2 cup soy sauce
‧ 1/4 cup sugar
‧ 1/4 cup cold water
‧ 1 tbs cornstarch
‧ 1-2 chicken breasts
‧ Lots of rice
Combine soy sauce, sugar, water, and cornstarch in bowl with whisk. Allow sugar to dissolve a little. Cut chicken into small pieces (easier to do when frozen) and cook in olive oil on frying pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Once chicken is cooked through, add soy sauce mix and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Serve with about 1 cup rice per person. Serves about 3 hungry adults.
