Salad chicken – Alice Cosper

To cook the chicken, I put 6-8 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) in the crockpot on high for about 6 hours. I add about ½ cup water or chicken broth and a bit of salt.  About half way through,  add 8-10 oz mild or medium salsa (we used Pace picante mild). The chicken should be ready to shred in 5-6 hours – shred it with two forks. (For the Broadcast Dinner, we used the roaster ovens, cooking at 325 for 5 ½  hours.)____
