Waffles – Relief Society Bulletin

2 eggs separated (beat whites and add last)

1 ¾ cups flour

1 ¾ cups milk

¾ cups sour cream or vanilla yogurt

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1/3 c. oil

Mix together all ingredients. Fold in beaten egg whites last. Sprinkle pecans on batter on waffle iron.

 

Buttermilk Syrup

 

1 cube butter

¾ cups sugar

½ cups buttermilk

Cook over medium heat until dissolved. Then add:

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. vanilla
