Aunt Marilyn’s Monkey Bread- Cindy Leishman

Makes 1 bundt pan

Mix together 1 cup warm water, ¼ c. sugar, ½ tsp. salt and 1 pkg. (1 T.) yeast. Mix 1 slightly beaten egg and 1 ½ c. flour. Beat well, add 2 T. vegetable oil, mix and add 2 cups additional flour. Stir until flour is absorbed. Cover bowl with damp cloth. Let raise until double in bulk, Roll out, thin, cut with a round cookie cutter. Melt 1 cube butter or margarine and pour into bottom of bundt pan. Stand circles up on end with the butter splashing between the pats. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
