Water Chestnut Dip –Wilma Fountain

Spicy (but not too hot) crunchy, flavorful dip. Tastes delicious on buttery round crackers or in finger sandwiches. The longer it is allowed to marinate, the better it tastes. Prep time: approx. 10 minutes. Makes 3.5 cups.

 

1 (8 oz.) cans sliced water chestnuts, drained

1 envelope dry vegetable soup mix

½ c. cream

½ c. mayonnaise

½ tsp. hot sauce

¼ c. sliced green onion

Julienne water chestnuts. In a medium bowl, mix water chestnuts, vegetable soup mix,  sour cream, mayonnaise, hot sauce and green onions. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
