Bottled Apple Pie Filling -Relief Society Bulletin
Ingredients:
4 ½ c. sugar
2 T. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
3 T. lemon juice
1 c. corn starch
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
½ cube (4 T.) margarine
Directions:
Mix together all the ingredients except the margarine.
Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Add margarine.
Continue to cook until it thickens.
Pour over sliced apples in mason jars (Recipe fills 7 quart size jars).
Process 25 minutes.
