Meatball Sauce Recipes
BBQ Meatballs
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. vinegar
2 tsp. mustard
½ c. barbeque sauce
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Mix together and pour sauce over meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.
Swedish Meatballs
1 c. sliced mushrooms
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
½ c. evaporated milk
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Mix together and pour over meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour. Eat over hot buttered noodles, or hot mashed potatoes.
Smoky BBQ Sauce
2 c. ketchup
1 c. brown sugar
½ tsp. liquid smoke
½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ c. chopped onion
Stir until sugar dissolves, pour over frozen meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.
Sour Cream Sauce
1 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. butter
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 c. water
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ c sour cream
Mix sauce together in a bowl, pour over frozen meatballs and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve over hot buttered noodles or mashed potatoes.
Spaghetti and Meatballs
1 (26 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
½ c. chopped onion
2 c. sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. sugar
Mix sauce together and pour over meatballs, bake covered for 1 hour at 350. Serve over hot spaghetti, garnish with cheese.
Pineapple Meatballs
¾ c. barbeque sauce
¾ c. orange juice
½ c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple
Mix together and pour over meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour. Serve with rice.
Meatballs-n-Gravy
1 can beef broth
½ c. onion chopped (optional)
1 c. sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. butter
Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter. Sprinkle the flour over onions and mushrooms, gradually add beef broth.
Cook meatballs at 350 for 1 hour, last10 minutes pour gravy over meatballs. Serve over hot rice, or mashed potatoes.
Meatballs with Gravy
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. evaporated milk
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. garlic salt
½ tsp. onion salt
Wisk flour into milk, stir in soup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, garlic salt and onion salt. Pour over meatballs and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve over hot mashed potatoes or hot buttered noodles.
Cantonese Meatballs
1 can pineapple chunks or tidbits
½ c. packed brown sugar
½ c. teriyaki sauce
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
¼ c. ketchup
¼ c. cornstarch
Mix together ingredients and pour over meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour. Serve with rice.
Meatball Soup
10-20 Meatballs
4 c. water
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) kidney beans
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. uncooked rice
1 Tbsp. sugar
¼ tsp. pepper
Bake frozen meatballs in oven at 350 for 30 minutes.
In the meantime, in a large saucepan combine water, onion soup mix, tomatoes, undrained beans, carrots, rice, sugar and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add meatballs. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Serve with garlic toast.
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
½ c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
¼ tsp. salt
½ c. apple cider vinegar
¼ c. ketchup
½ c. chunked onion
½ c. chunked red bell pepper
½ c. chunked green bell pepper
Mix together brown sugar and cornstarch. Add water, salt, vinegar and ketchup. Heat until boiling, reduce heat, stir until thick and bubbly.
Pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve with hot rice.
Porcupine Meatball Sauce
1 (15 oz.)can tomato sauce
1 c water
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Mix together and pour over meatballs. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.
Hawaiian Meatballs
1 c. brown sugar
¼ c. cornstarch
2 c. pineapple juice
½ tsp. minced ginger
1 tsp. salt
½ c. apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. chunked green bell pepper
1 cans pineapple tidbits or chunks
Mix together brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple juice, ginger, salt, vinegar and soy sauce. Cook and stir until thick and clear. Add green pepper and pineapple, and then pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Serve over hot rice.
