Rolls – Relief Society Bulletin

1 yeast cake, in ¼ c. lukewarm water

1 c. milk, scalded and cooled

2 tsp. salt

6 T. sugar

2 eggs, well beaten

6 T. shortening, butter or margarine

About 5-6 cups flour.

 

Combine milk, salt, sugar eggs, margarine and 2 cups flour.

Beat until smooth.

Stir in softened yeast and mix well.

Add enough flour to make a soft dough (about 3-4 cups).

Knead well. Let rise until doubled.

Shape rolls

Place on greased pans and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour)

Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes.
