Aunt MaryAnn’s Brownies – Cindy Leishman

Mix 2 c. sugar, 2 c. flour set aside.

Boil 2 squares margarine, 1 c. water, 6 T. cocoa (should look like gravy)

Pour over sugar and flour mixture.

Add ½ c. sour milk (1/4 tsp. vinegar in milk), 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 beaten eggs.  Beat batter for 2 minutes.

Pour into large cookie sheet.

Bake 375 for 20 minutes

 

Brownie Frosting

1 square margarine

2 T. cocoa 5 T. milk

Boil until thick then add powdered sugar. Frost brownies while still hot. Top with nuts if desired.
