Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies – Lizzy Snyder
1 c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Cream together sugar, brown sugar, shortening and eggs. Add rest of ingredients. Dough will lbe very stiff. For each cookie roll a spoonful of dough around a miniature marshmallow and then roll ball in some granulated sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 400 for about 5 minutes or until they crack. Don’t over bake! * Note: I usually use 2 cubes of margarine if the children are making these because it is easier to measure and they still taste yummy.
