Grandma Halverson’s Sugar Cookies – Heidi Johnson’s great-grandma’s recipe

 Cream  1 c. of butter

Beat in 2 cups of sugar

Add 1 cup of sour cream

1 tsp. baking soda

 

Mix  together:

3 cups flour

½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking powder

 

Mix first four ingredients in with the dry stuff.

Use plenty of flour when rolling out the cookies. Be sure to sprinkle the flour with some sugar each time you roll them out. The cookies must be rolled out as thin as possible. This is what makes them different. Cook at 350 for 10 minutes.
