Kim Bradshaw’s Famous Caramel Layer Brownies – Lizzy Snyder

50 light caramels (14 oz. pkg.)

1/3 c. evaporated milk

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix

¾ c. melted butter

Another 1/3 c. evaporated milk

1 c. nuts

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

In heave pan, combine caramels and 1/3 c. evaporated mil. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until melted. Set aside. Grease and flour a 9X13 cake pan. Ina larage mixing bow., combine and stir by hand cake mix, butter, milk, and nuts. Press ½ dough into the cake pan. Bake it at 350 for 6 min. remove and sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust. Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips. Crumble reserved dough over caramel mixture. Return to oven for 18-20 min. Do not over bake, cool slightly. Refrigerate to set caramel layer.

Note: this is probably the best brownie in the world. It has all of the 5 food groups: chocolate, caramel, butter, nuts, and cake! Love It!
