LEMON BARS – Leslie George

2 C. flour                                  2 C. sugar
1 C. butter                               ½ C. lemon juice
3/4 C. powdered sugar              ¼ C. flour           
1/4 tsp. salt                             ½ tsp. baking powder
4 eggs                                     powdered sugar for garnish
 
Combine 2 C. flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly.  Pat in bottom of a greased cookie sheet with raised edges (15 x 10 x 1) and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Crust will be pale.  Beat together eggs, sugar, lemon juice, ¼ C. flour, and baking powder. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 munutes. Sprinkle powdered sugar over top.
