White Chicken Chili – Jill
2 lb. chicken cubed
1 med onion, chopped
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. oil
4 cans Great Northern Beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans chopped green chilies
2 cans chicken broth
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 cups sour cream
1 cup heavy cream
In large saucepan, saute chicken, onion and garlic powder. Add beans, broth, chilies, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and cream. Add creams just before serving. Heat slightly. Don’t overheat. Garnish with fresh cilantro, grated cheese, and crushed tortilla chips.
