Applesauce (Chunky) – Cindy Leishman
Rinse-peel-core-quarter
Put in large kettle with a little water- steam until tender, pour off excess water, mash with potato masher
Sweeten to taste (1 c. sugar to 6 quarts apples)
Add cinnamon until it tastes good
Fill bottles to just below neck
Wipe off mouth of bottle
Scald lids, put bottles with lids on in canner, cover with water
Bring to boil 20-25 minutes
Remove from canner and cool on counter.
