Joye’s Rainbow Frosting – Cindy Leishman

1 c. milk

2 T. flour

pinch salt

Heat above ingredients in a saucepan for 5-7 minutes and allow to cool

 

Beat following ingredients well and add to above ingredients:

½ c. butter or margarine

½ c. shortening

1 c. sugar

 

Beat 7 minutes until smooth. Put out four bowls

Bowl 1: 2-3 drops green food coloring, ¼ tsp. almond extract

Bowl 2: 2-3 drops yellow food coloring ¼ tsp. lemon extract

Bowl 3: 2-3 drops red food coloring, ¼ tsp. cherry extract

Bowl 4: 2 T. cocoa, 1 tsp. vanilla
