Taco Soup

 

1 lb. Hamburger browned with onion                 1 pkg. taco seasoning

16 oz can corn with juice in it                           2 (16 oz) cans kidney beans drained

28 oz cans tomatoes chopped                           16 oz tomato sauce

1 c water                                                          garnish-tortilla chips

(Optional) sour cream                                       (optional) shredded cheese

(Optional) cilantro

 

 

Making it Fresh:

Combine hamburger, corn, tomatoes, taco seasoning, beans, water and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Garnish with sour cream, cilantro, shredded cheese and tortilla chips.

 

Making it to freeze:

Combine hamburger, corn, tomatoes, taco seasoning, beans, water and tomato sauce.

Put in container or Freezer bag, label and freeze.

 

To Cook: Set out the day before, or let thaw in a sink full of warm water, or just stick it in a bowl and into the microwave until hot.  If it is thawed, pour into a pot and warm. Garnish with sour cream, cilantro, shredded cheese and tortilla chips

 

Combine and bring to a boil, simmer for a while.
